Been awhile...
So, here's the compressed version of my life for the last couple of weeks...
1) Got results back from panel interview. Am in Rank #1 for three different positions with an agency.
2) Sillyman visited me from Oz for four days, and we had a blast. Wish he'd had time to stick around longer...
3) War started, and I'm depressed and sick to my stomach at the whole affair... Damn, what a great time to be a proud American :-P
4) Hate my job-- took another step to getting out...
5) Am still going through troubles with one friend-- dunno if it will stop or the friendship will be over. I don't wanna deal with it now.
6) My mom's got one more week of radiation treatments.
7) Paul's sick again. Damn, he has the
worst immune system.
8) Had an exam with Santa Clara County for Appraiser 1. Heard rumor that there are 3 positions, 345 taking the test, and only the top 7 will be interviewed. Am not optimistic, but from contents of exam, don't think I'd particularly want that job anyway ;-) Aargh, detailed with geometry, silly math, and tons of obscure technical writing to read... and then probably produce.
