Kickazz!
Well, apparently some of my sporadic lifting, and tons of cardio has had a bit of effect on my flabosity. I am now wearing a pair of jeans that I tried to wear after I was laid off in September. I was overhanging them by several inches then, but now, they actually zipped comfortably, and NO OVERHANG! Woo hoo! Apparently 40 minutes of cardio 4x a week really pays off :-) Now if only I could get the jello off the flanks and tummy and the wobble off the old triceps **sigh**
In other news, Sugandh, my favorite Indian place in the universe, still rocks a year and a half after I discovered it. The chicken palak I had was just drool-a-licious, and the gulab jamun for dessert was wonderfully rich. Ahhhhhh... The leftovers today for breakfast were still delicious, even though I ate them cold straight from the fridge. Oh man, I need to go out to Pleasanton for dinner more often :-D There's just something about the dance of the spice, the spinach and the chicken, combined with the gentle spiciness of a couple of peppers, and that mint chutney! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...

New Year, big butt...
You know, life is interesting sometimes, and sometimes it's so deadly dull that all you want to do is start a new workout regime. Well, the latter is today. And unfortunately, since it's the new year, the 24 Hour Fitness website isn't working. This is especially jolly since I want to find out what aerobics classes are offered tomorrow at the Concord gym, which isn't currently geographically close to me. It will be tomorrow after work, but then it's too late to figure out where to work out. Par for the course :-P
So I guess it'll be a nice O-town late evening workout that'll leave me way the hell too wired to sleep. Again, par for the course. Basically, I just want this year's course to change, butt that's not too likely (sorries, visions of my flabby butt dance in my head)... Oh well.

Nonsense thoughts...
Why do people use Macs?
When someone says the words, "I'm ending the games?" why do they keep playing?
Why is it assumed that if you don't want to be friends with someone, you're drowning in hatred and anger, when really, you just can't stand him/her and don't care?
Why is revenge a dish best served cold? It's much better with laughter and dancing. *g*

Paying billz
I don't know what it is, but there is no activity that drives me more insane than the process of paying bills. I don't mind the concept of paying for services used, but dang, isn't there an easier way to do it? Debit a card or something? I mean, take my favorite company's ( Working Assets-- love those guys! ) bill-- if there was ever a nightmare to go through, it would be them. I LOVE what this company does when it comes to social activism, and their customer service is fantastic, but godz, the bills are a detail-ridden nightmare! You can call for the three issues they spotlight (two calls for five minutes per issue each month) or you can have them write what they call "citizen letters." When you call, you have to, on the next month's bill, indicate which calls you made to the numbers and deduct that from your charges (you can't do that automatically, guys?). Or the citizen letters are $3.50 for the first or $2.25 each later. My deal is one hour free of long distance (state to state...) each month, but instead of doing that automatically, you have to go look for a coupon from the previous month's bill. You can round the amount of payment up or down for charitable causes, but make sure you check off the little box that says that, otherwise, who knows? And then, I think you can order the books that they spotlight in each bill, maybe (can't quite figure that one out...), or read all about the spotlight issues, and wade through the "free calls" info. It's confusing! Compound that with the fact that the payment coupon has the address on the reverse side, and you've got a billpaying nightmare!
 Aaack!
I'm looking forward to "instant debiting" with a palm swipe over a plate or something... Took me half an hour to wade through and write all the checks for this month's bills, time I could have spent blogging or rambling over silliness, or actually cleaning my apartment or...
